Description
Corn gluten meal is a uniform, fine powder of yellow-orange color. It has a fresh, cereal smell. It is a by-product obtained in the wet milling process of corn during the production of corn starch.
Corn protein is rich in protein and methionine, a valuable ingredient for laying hens. The relatively high content of yellow xanthophylls makes it a popular choice for poultry pigmentation. It is often found in the form of dried corn gluten.
